Network Traffic Monitoring Using the P4 Language
Patová, Pavlína ; Matoušek, Jiří (referee) ; Martínek, Tomáš (advisor)
Today we often encounter the need to monitor network and service quality. For this purpose we can use for example INT. Our goal is to find the optimal platform and associated compiler for implementing INT. We will try to find an alternative to the existing solutions (T4P4S, BMv2). However, we will also mention these two platforms and discuss their advantages and disadvantages. The result of this work is an overview of the capabilities of each compiler and the performance of the described implementations.
Control Flow Graph for P4 Programs
Ponek, Timotej ; Šišmiš, Lukáš (referee) ; Kekely, Lukáš (advisor)
Concept of SDN gradually became one of the most popular solutions for network management. It allows rapid reconfigurability of network devices, to reflect actual demands and to enable quick testing of new solutions, which supports overall advance in networking. This thesis focuses on P4 programming language, which is one of the implementations of SDN concept. The goal of this thesis is improvement of the existing open-source P4 compiler. More precisely, extension of a part used to generate control flow graphs. New implementation captures program flow even inside match-action tables and actions, which allows easier checking of compiler output and further optimization of compiler to reduce dead code. It also provides option to generate a fullgraph in dot format and a predefined json format that captures the flow of the program across all function blocks of the P4 program.
Dialogue as a way to develop a child's personality
ČINÁTLOVÁ, Martina
The main theme of my bachelor thesis is the use of dialogue in education - the tool for this is philosophical dialogue as used in Philosophy for Children. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the concept of Philosophy for Children is introduced, including some works by the Swiss author Eva Zöller Morf. This approach is complemented by the developmental characteristics of the preschool years and the possibility of supporting the development of moral reasoning and emotional competences to which P4C can contribute. The practical part summarises action research carried out in one kindergarten. It contains a record of five meetings in which the starting point was reading books and reflecting together on the themes of their stories. In the process, the children learned to become aware of various ambiguities and to voice them aloud, while also being able to respond to each other later, to think together and to move the discussions forward. During the conversations they listened to each other and commented factually or less factually on the topic.
Filozofie pro děti jako pomoc mezigeneračnímu dialogu o charakteru společnosti "dříve" a "dnes"
MEDALOVÁ HŮDOVÁ, Václava
This bachelor thesis aims to discover, whether the method of Philosophy for children can be used for facilitating the intergenerational dialog. Theoretical part describes principles of this method in connection to its history, philosophical basis, development of three-dimensional thinking and thinking skills. Further, it defines basic characteristics of life period of adolescence and old age with focus on the process of discovering self-identity, the importance of adolescent peer groups for this age group and adaptation to the old age by seniors. Within the question of the intergenerational conflict it also discusses mutual conflicts between these age groups and their causes, in particular regard to the ageism, age segregation of negative stereotypes. Research part of this theses aims to answer following question by quantitative research in focus groups: "Is it possible to perceive the elements of philosophical dialog during the discussion in focus group?" and "Is it possible to perceive the problems concerning characteristics of "before" and "now" time period that are being discussed by the focus group during the discussion?". The research is being conducted in the form of lesson of Philosophy for children, during which a discussion between 2 focus groups takes place - an adolescent group and a senior group. Gathered data are analysed by coding and subsequently interpreted in relation to the established research questions.
